Planned UPS upgrade

Our Hamilton site is recieving a UPS upgrade as part of planned improvements. The data center reports this work will have no anticipated impact to customer services.

Scheduled for Apr 29, 07:00 - 12:00 NZST

Detail:
- The site will remain on utility power throughout.
- Our services are connected redundantly to power, each circuit is backed by a seperate UPS.
- During the work the UPS units will be isolated and upgraded one at a time, ensuring circuits using other UPSs will stay protected and therfore providing secure power at all times.

The activities are associated with site capacity upgrades. Along with the verification of proper operation and functionality of the UPS units, actions involved are fully documented and may include the use of external vendors.

Our upstream provider will be performing maintenance during the following window:

Maintenance Window:
Start: 29 April 2025, 10:00 AM NZST
End: 1 May 2025, 2:00 PM NZST
(Note: Work may occur daily during this window, with impact of up to 4 hours per day.)

Impact:
Due to our network's built-in redundancy, no downtime is expected during this maintenance. However, customers may observe path changes as routing adjusts during the update process.

We will monitor the maintenance closely and provide an update once the work has been completed.

VM pod issue

8:15 am NZST: a hardware issue was identified on the failed server and remediation plans are under way to improve redundancy.

8:04 am NZST: Last VM started, after a boot issue was identified on the VM (seperate to the outage)

7:29 am NZST: VMs were restarted. Most customer services restored.

Thu, 17 Apr 2025 7:06 am NZST: VMs on one of our pods stopped responding. We investigated and identified the active server member had stopped responding
